 Audio OnlyAttitudes toward traditions vary greatly among religious people; some desire to change anything that could be called traditional, while others hold blindly to every tradition. Scripturally speaking, traditions can fall into one of three categories: 1) Inspired traditions handed down by the apostles and prophets of Christ. 2) Expedient traditions which aid faithful Christians to habitually obey God’s laws. 3) Traditions of men which replace or nullify God’s word. The first category of traditions needs to be carefully followed, the second needs to be appreciated but examined, the third should be completely rejected. |
