 Audio OnlyTo rightly divide God’s word, we must consider the context of any passage we are using to demonstrate truth. In contrast to man made rules of interpretation, the Scriptures show that we can be true to a context even when quoting only part of a passage, applying its truth generally, or teaching truth that is not specifically stated but necessarily implied in a passage. In current discussions concerning patternism and legalism, some who protest the loudest about taking passages out of context are the worst offenders. |
