2026 Bible Reading Plan
Eastside's theme for 2026 will be ""Pursuing Peace and Edification "(Romans 14:19)". To underscore Steve's efforts bringing us sermons on this topic throughout the year, we want to continue our congregational reading program. So each week this year, we ask that in addition to your other Bible study efforts, you read the passages below based on the listed dates. As you read, ask yourself "what are the lessons and applications of this text to my life as it relates to our theme?" and then pray about making those applications. This approach to reading and prayer completes the cycle of communication between us and God.
In addition, we have added the reading for our Bible classes to our New
Testament reading plan. It is a special time as the entire congregation is
studying the same material, from our youngest to oldest. The should allow us to
study together as a family as we go through the cycle in our adult classes as
well. This page includes the base memory work for the students as well as
passages we feel all Christians should know. The elders ask that we discuss the
memory work with our children each week as well. Letting them build our faith
and working to memorize them if we don't already know them.
